The Chang Science Library invites students to join a recreational reading discussion group in Fall 2019.  We will be reading short fiction and talking about it together — that’s it!  It’s like speed-dating the library stacks: you’ll encounter writers from classic to contemporary, discuss the experience with friends, and maybe even start a fling with a new favorite author or genre.  No expertise needed, no assignments or quizzes, no commitment to making every meeting.

Sign up for sessions starting on
Wednesday, September 18, 2019
  • Group 1    Wednesdays 2:15 – 3:35
  • Group 2    Wednesdays 3:55 – 5:15

Short stories are available to browse.  We will be reading and discussing these during sessions. Attend all or a few. Bring your friends or make new ones. Suggest readings or get ideas what to read next. In other words, spend that hour you would waste anyway in the library and meet others with similar interest.
