About Us

The Symposium, which is the oldest running symposium with a primary emphasis on artists’ books in the country, is produced by Rutgers New Brunswick Libraries, Special Collections and University Archives. Special Collections has been collecting artists’ books and documenting the artists’ book movement in New Jersey since the 1960s, and many of the artists who have presented at our Symposium are represented in our collections.
