By Haley Flynn-Stead

Haley’s documentary chronicles the days before, during, and after opening night of a completely student-run production of Sondheim’s Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street at Rutgers University. It highlights the stress, laughter, and community of college students as they put on a full-scale production of one of the most beloved musicals of all time. Flynn-Stead created this piece for her fall 2019 “Documentary Filmmaking For Writers” course.
