Nia Cambridge is third year PhD student in the Geography Department at Rutgers University — New Brunswick. Born and raised in Nassau, Bahamas, Nia is a human-environment geographer whose research lies at the nexus of climate change adaptation and critical development studies in the Caribbean. Her current research project focuses on the socioeconomic impacts of the financialization of conservation for market-based climate solutions in The Bahamas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Richmond where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa.
