Empowering Rutgers University-Newark’s first generation students from financially challenged backgrounds to achieve their graduation goals.

The Student Support Services (SSS) Program at RU-Newark empowers first generation, low income and disabled students to achieve their academic goals. The goal of the SSS program is to increase the college retention and graduation rates of its participants by providing a diversity of academic support services.

SSS sees the value in working collaboratively with other student service offices on campus and they are the following: Writing Center, Rutgers Learning Center, Career and Development Center, Office of Academic Services, Counseling Center, Office of Student Life and Leadership, Residence Life, Office of Financial Aid, Office of the Registrar, Student Accounting Office, LGTBQ and Intercultural Center, Rutgers Business School, School of Criminal Justice, School of Public Affairs and Administration, School of Nursing and all academic departments on campus.
