Pritha Mukherjee

Pritha Mukherjee is a fifth year PhD candidate in the Department of Art History, Rutgers-New Brunswick. She has been working on the interpretations of ancient South Asian histories in contemporary institutions that manage and curate the associated objects and sites. She is currently studying the creation of the new Bihar Museum in eastern India situating it in a longer history of placemaking in the region. Pritha is also a current editor for Rutgers Art Review, the annual, open access journal produced by graduate students in the Department of Art History at Rutgers University.
