Finding Common Ground: Building Bridges on Immigration Law Ahead of the Election

The Center for Immigrant Justice (CIJ) at Rutgers Law School – Newark, together with ALIANZA and other co-sponsors, is hosting a cross-campus in-person/virtual panel talk entitled, FINDING COMMON GROUND: BUILDING BRIDGES ON IMMIGRATION LAW AHEAD OF THE ELECTION, on 10/16/24 from 12:15-1:15 PM in Room E-108. We will hear panelists discuss key issues in immigration law and offer ways to bridge the gap in immigration discourse in light of the 2024 Presidential Election. Refreshments will be provided! 
Speakers include:
  • Professor Rose Cuison-Villazor – Professor of Law, Chancellor’s Social Justice Scholar, and Director of CIJ
  • Jason Hernandez – Director of Rutgers Immigrant Community Assistance Program
  • David Lopez – Professor of Law and Professor Alfred Slocum Scholar
  • Sarah Tosh – Assistant Professor at Rutgers University – Camden of the Dept. of Sociology, Anthropology, and Criminal Justice.
