DESCRIPTION:The Center for Immigrant Justice (CIJ) at Rutgers Law School – Newark\, together with ALIANZA and other co-sponsors\, is hosting a cross-campus in-person/virtual panel talk entitled\, FINDING COMMON GROUND: BUILDING BRIDGES ON IMMIGRATION LAW AHEAD OF THE ELECTION\, on 10/16/24 from 12:15-1:15 PM in Room E-108. We will hear panelists discuss key issues in immigration law and offer ways to bridge the gap in immigration discourse in light of the 2024 Presidential Election. Suarez of the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs and Dean Nancy Rubert\, of Rutgers Law School Admissions\, will be attending as honorees to accept their awards from ALIANZA.  An official invitation is attached and you may purchase tickets here. \nThis year’s theme\, Atrévete a Soñar (“Dare to Dream”)\, inspires Latinos and Minority Groups to dream big and achieve greatness in the legal profession.
