On behalf of the E-Board, thank you all for attending ALIANZA’s 18th Annual Defensores de la Justicia Banquet where we honored Melissa Martinez and Tabatha Castro. While we wish we could have seen you all in person, we hope we were able to recreate the fun environment! Our celebration could not have been what it was without all of you, so thank you for dancing the night away with us!
We were thrilled that so many of you expressed interest in donating to endow the Carmen M. Garcia Bright Futures Scholarship. This scholarship is given yearly to Camden high school seniors pursuing higher education. Endowing the scholarship allows for the scholarship to exist in perpetuity, so it may continue to benefit the students of Camden high schools. There are two ways to donate to the endowment of the scholarship:
1) Donate using ALIANZA’s Venmo
The QR Code to ALIANZA’s Venmo account is attached to this email. If you have Venmo, you can hold your phone camera to the screen and it will take you to the Rutgers Alianza Venmo which is @RutgersAlianza.
2) Donate by Check
Please make checks payable to Rutgers University with “Alianza scholarship” on the memo line.
Mail checks to: Dean Louis Thompson, Rutgers School of Law- Camden 211 Fifth Street, Camden, NJ 08102.
Then, email
rutgersalianza@gmail.com with your name and/or organization name and the pledge amount for our records. Because of COVID, student leaders are not in the building, so this allows us to keep a record of the pledge amounts.
