Senior Honors Thesis

The Senior Honors Thesis is a very important part of undergraduate studies in the field of Anthropology. Students wishing to pursue an honors thesis should start as early as possible, ideally in the fall semester of their junior year by contacting Professor Cabanes to plan research topics, timing and further research opportunities in the field of archaeology. To be eligible for an honors thesis, students must be majoring in anthropology, have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher and a GPA in anthropology of 3.4 or higher. For more information, click here.

Aresty

Applications for the 2024-2025 Aresty Research Assistant program are now open until April 25, 2024. ALMA is currently seeking students to participate in the Aresty project, The Microscopic Record of Human Behavior and Paleoecology. For more information on the Aresty program, click here. Laboratory Research

ALMA is open to for student volunteers wishing to gain experience working in a laboratory. Volunteering is a great way to learn the basics of laboratory analysis and may lead to future research opportunities. For those interested in volunteering or seeking more information should contact Professor Cabanes via email.

Field Research

We are currently working in several archaeological sites along with different institutions around the world that might accept students as volunteers for their excavations. If you are interested in an experience abroad and working in an archaeological excavation, please contact Professor Cabanes for more information.
