Jhillika Patel

Co-President

Jhillika Patel is from Princeton, NJ, and graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2018 with a degree in Public Health Studies. She completed her master’s in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in 2019 from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. During her time in Baltimore, she spearheaded the development of the Johns Hopkins Bayview Emergency Department Transitional Volunteering Program which continues to support patients and their families. After graduate school, she conducted clinical research at the Brigham & Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Jhillika is passionate about combining her interests in medicine with entrepreneurship. She is thrilled to be a Co-President of the Biomedical Entrepreneurship Network at RWJMS and build off of the impactful events and relationships created by previous leadership boards. She also took the initiative to found, lead, and grow the BEN Research Group at RWJMS, with the support of Principal Investigator Dean Paul Weber. Under her leadership, numerous students have grown in their scholarly research pursuits. Jhillika strives to think outside-of-the-box, and hopes to continue to create a collaborative and supportive environment to foster students’ creativity in finding new healthcare solutions.
