Jhillika Patel (Princeton, NJ) graduated from Johns Hopkins University with an undergraduate degree and master’s degree in Public Health Studies and Biochemistry, respectively. During her time in Baltimore, she founded the Johns Hopkins Bayview Emergency Department Transitional Volunteering Program, which continues to support thousands of patients and their families.
As Co-President of the Biomedical Entrepreneurship Network (BEN) at RWJMS, she is committed to fostering collaboration and innovation. She also took the initiative to found, lead, and grow the BEN Scholarly Group at RWJMS, with the support of Principal Investigator Dean Paul Weber. Under her leadership, numerous students have grown in their scholarly research pursuits. Jhillika strives to think outside-of-the-box, and hopes to continue creating a collaborative and supportive environment to foster students’ creativity in finding new healthcare solutions. She has been awarded numerous leadership and research awards for these efforts at Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
