Daniel Lam

Co-President

Daniel Lam is from Fremont, CA, and received a Bachelors of Science in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior from University of California, Davis. In his undergrad, he conducted genetic web lab research, diabetes clinical research, and served as the Information Technology Clinic Coordinator at Bayanihan Clinic, a student-run free clinic. In his gap year, Daniel worked at a medical device venture capital firm, where he was exposed to the intersection of medical innovation, entrepreneurship, and healthcare venture investing. He is eager to build upon these experiences as the Co-President of the Biomedical Entrepreneurship Network at RWJMS. Since coming to medical school, he has participated and placed in the finals of the Yale Health Hackathon and BENHacks health innovation competitions. Daniel is passionate about value-based care and enjoys learning about new cutting-edge technologies, devices, and solutions in this space. He hopes to harness the inner innovator in his medical student peers and foster an environment for physicians-in-training to become leaders in innovation, health systems, and business.
