Sanjana Eranki

Summit Chair

Originally from Long Island, NY, Sanjana Eranki graduated from Johns Hopkins University in 2021 with a degree in Biomedical Engineering.  Throughout college, she participated in multiple design teams and innovation-based projects. With collaborators at Johns Hopkins Hospital, Sanjana worked on developing a device to promote recovery for pediatric patients after long hospital stays in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. She also spearheaded a design project at the Translational Tissue Engineering Center for applications in drug delivery. Sanjana’s passion for biomedical innovation and design was fostered throughout these experiences, and she hopes to continue pursuing medical device innovation throughout her career. Her primary interests lie in improving the gaps in surgical workflows to optimize patient care and recovery. Sanjana is excited to serve as the Summit Chair for the Biomedical Entrepreneurship Network at RWJMS and have the opportunity to connect with leaders in emergent healthcare technology while promoting connectedness through various platforms. She hopes that these efforts will allow for a broader understanding of current technologies among medical students, healthcare professionals, and innovators alike.
