The Books We Read Blog is conducting a series of interviews with contributors and friends of the blog to get a snapshot of our reading habits<\/a>: the things we like to read, the circumstances in which we read, and more.<\/p>\n

Rose Barbalace<\/a> is a Library Supervisor II at the Alexander Library. As the Student Coordinator for the NBL work\/study students, she has co-hosted several Books We Read event and is considered an honorary BWR Team Member. \"\"<\/a>What kinds of books do you like to read?
\n<\/strong>I’ll read books of all genres from biographies<\/a> to romance<\/a> novels to sci-fi<\/a> to travel<\/a> books. I’m always down for a good mystery<\/a> novel too.<\/p>\n

Do you have format preferences (print, ebook, audiobook, abridged, original language\/translated, etc.)?
\n<\/strong>Most of my books are now read on my kindle or kindle app on my phone. However, I do still order books from the library and make use of EZBorrow<\/a>.<\/p>\n

How do you find new books to read?
\n<\/strong>Funny enough the last couple books I’ve read have been recommendations from interviews I’ve watched on social media.<\/p>\n

Where and when do you read? Outdoors or indoors? At home or out and about? Mornings, evenings, or just before bed?
\n<\/strong>Mostly in bed or lounging on the couch. I always bring reading with me while on vacation which I always start but never finish.<\/p>\n

Do you use any libraries or library resources for non-required reading?
\n<\/strong>EZ-Borrow (one of the many ways to borrow books<\/a> not available in any Rutgers library, even if the Rutgers copy is on loan, editor’s comment<\/em>).<\/p>\n

What do you get out of your non-required reading?
\n<\/strong>A little bit of fun and hopefully lots of laughs\u2013\u2013I try to read things that are not too serious for non-required readings.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

What are you currently reading, or what have you read and enjoyed most recently?
\n<\/strong>Currently I’m reading The Alchemist<\/a> by Paulo Coelho.<\/p>\n

Recommend a book in one sentence that you think everyone should read:
\n<\/strong>I’ve enjoyed the\u00a0Plum Series from Janet Evanovich,<\/a> very fun read.<\/p>\n
