Dr. Parkes (@LindenParkes) is a computational neuroscientist with extensive research experience at the intersection of network neuroscience, psychiatry, machine learning, and neuroimaging, including a range of different neuroimaging modalities (e.g., structural, diffusion, and functional magnetic resonance imaging). Dr. Parkes received his PhD from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia) under the supervision of Murat Yucel, Alex Fornito, and Ben Fulcher. Dr. Parkes underwent postdoctoral training at the University of Pennsylvania under the supervision of Dani S. Bassett and Theodore D. Satterthwaite. The central goal of Linden\u2019s research is to better understand mental illness through brain research. In order to understand the brain-behavior and brain-symptom relationships that are relevant to mental illness, we must be cognizant of their biological underpinnings, reveal their predictive capacity, translate our predictive insights into prognostic impact, and uncover the developmental pathways that give rise to brain network dysfunction. Dr. Parkes\u2019 work spans these domains and is highly cross-disciplinary. He will be a great addition to our team!\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
