The event aims to foster interactions and build collaborations across PI\u2019s and their labs whose work touches on cognition and sensation with those who study affective processes in health and neuropsychiatric illness.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Rutgers Brain Health Institute<\/a>\u00a0is organized into distinct focus area work groups (FAWGs). The symposium represents a joint retreat of the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu\/cognitive-and-sensory-neuroscience-focus-area-working-group-csn-fawg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Cognitive and Affective Neuroscience FAWG<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/brainhealthinstitute.rutgers.edu\/motivational-and-affective-neuroscience-focus-area-working-group-man-fawg\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Motivational and Affective Neuroscience FAWG<\/a>\u00a0to specifically encourage cross-FAWG interactions and collaborations.
