The Office of CARES has partnered with the City of Newark and Newark\u2019s Youth One Stop Career Center, which oversees the Newark Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP). SYEP aims to provide Newark youth with paid work experiences, career exploration, and training to enhance their future employment prospects and financial stability, while also contributing to community wealth building. The program emphasizes career readiness, financial literacy, and offers mentoring and coaching to support participants personal and professional growth.<\/p>\n

In our first year of collaboration with SYEP, we are proud to highlight the dedication and focus of our interns, who have shown great motivation and a strong desire to grow in various areas of their lives. It is with great pleasure that we recognize their interests and contributions.
