Jillian Cuzzolino

National NEW Leadership® Staff

Jillian Cuzzolino (she/her) is a rising fourth-year student at Rutgers University-New Brunswick. She studies Political Science and Quantitative Economics in the School of Arts and Sciences Honors Program. Jillian previously served as a Rutgers New Student Orientation Leader and as Chair of the University Affairs Committee within the Rutgers University Student Assembly (RUSA). She is a former member of the Darien Civic Engagement Project led by the Eagleton Institute of Politics’ Center for Youth Political Participation (CYPP). She is a member of the honors societies Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha. During her final year at Rutgers, Jillian will be writing an Honors Thesis about the political behavior of the Asian American population as well as serving as President of the Rutgers Asian Student Council (ASC) and Vice President of the Pi Sigma Alpha Beta Omicron Chapter.
Jillian also has a background in New Jersey politics as she previously interned with New Jersey Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak (D-18) and assisted the 2017 and 2019 General Assembly campaigns of Assemblymen Andrew Zwicker and Roy Freiman.
With her experiences as a Programming and Information Intern and Julia A. Fishelson Intern at the Center for American Women and Politics (CAWP) over the last two semesters, Jillian is tremendously grateful to assist in the facilitation of NEW Leadership® 2021 and looks forward to meeting others equally passionate about women’s leadership in politics.
