As Manager of Public Programs, Pooja Prabhakaran is responsible for coordinating our public events and programming. This includes leading the planning process, drafting materials, communicating with program speakers and participants, publicizing and promoting the programs, and organizing on-site logistics. Pooja is also responsible for drafting text and developing graphics to deliver CAWP’s message through social media, infographics, and web content.
Prior to CAWP, Pooja worked on two political campaigns for women candidates. Working with women candidates helped Pooja understand the obstacles women face while running for office and led her to become a passionate supporter of CAWP’s mission.
Pooja earned her Masters of Public Administration from Rutgers-Newark, and her B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers-New Brunswick.
