Mary González

Representative Mary González represents east El Paso County and is serving her fifth term in the Texas House. Last year, Rep. González was appointed to the Legislative Budget Board, and this 87th legislative session, she was appointed as the Vice-Chair of the Appropriations Committee and member of the Public Education Committee. Representative González is the Associate Director for the Partnership for the Future of Learning at the National Public Education Support Fund. Representative González holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a master’s from St. Edward’s University, and doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction – Cultural Studies in Education from the University of Texas at Austin.
