Ms. Pei-Chin Tsai, our Ph.D. graduate student form Pharmaceutical Science at Rutgers University was selected to participate in a twelve-weeks summer internship at GlaxoSmithKline, Consumer Health Care located at Parsippany, NJ.
\nDuring her summer internship, she worked with GSK\u2019s Smokers Health New Product R&D team on an independent project to facilitate innovation in nicotine replacement therapy (NRT) product formulations. In addition to her independent project, she was able to have an overview with different functions within the company. The internship program allows her to interact with professionals from finance, marketing, legal, regulatory and medical affairs departments and she had a much better understanding of how GSK operate their global business.<\/p>\n
This internship was also unique because at the end of her internship, she observed how the common changes in this field- company layoff, acquisition and merger. Sadly, she had to say goodbye to some of the professionals before the end of her internship. However, she learned that you should always do the best and stay positive wherever you go.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
