Three of us (Pratiksha Thombre, Arunoda Lakmal, and Chris Shuck) traveled to Dublin Ireland to attend the EuroMXene 2026 conference.
It was a wonderful week of science, networking, and community-building, beginning with a group dinner at the Brazen Head. At the conference, Chris gave an invited lecture titled “M- and X-site engineering of MXene properties.” Arunoda presented a fire talk on “X-site dependency of optical/electronic properties in MXenes,” and both Arunoda and Pratiksha presented posters that generated significant discussion and engagement.
We were excited to see the strong international interest in our group’s efforts to produce MXenes with novel and emergent properties. We are grateful to the EuroMXene organizers for an excellent meeting and look forward to the new connections and collaborations that will grow from this conference.
