Conference on Inverse Problems for Partial Differential Equations, May 20-22, 2024

Inverse problems for partial differential equations entail the identification of underlying causes for observed or desired effects. They lie at the heart of scientific inquiry and technological development. The substantial rise in computing capabilities and the evolution of robust algorithms have enabled the application of inverse problem-solving techniques to increasingly intricate real-world challenges. The principal goal of this conference is to foster interaction among researchers working in inverse problems, imaging, and partial differential equations. Furthermore, the event seeks to provide regional networking prospects for graduate students and emerging scientists actively involved in this field.

This meeting is dedicated to David Colton on the occasion of his 80th birthday. David is an Emeritus Professor at the University of Delaware in the Department of Mathematical Sciences. He is a renowned expert in inverse problems and has made fundamental contributions to inverse scattering theory.
