{"id":770,"date":"2023-12-06T14:09:41","date_gmt":"2023-12-06T14:09:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/cndr\/?page_id=770"},"modified":"2024-06-13T15:14:06","modified_gmt":"2024-06-13T15:14:06","slug":"estradiol-on-cognition-sleep-and-alzheimers-disease-risk","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/cndr\/research\/estradiol-on-cognition-sleep-and-alzheimers-disease-risk\/","title":{"rendered":"E2: Effects of Estradiol on Cognition, Sleep, and Alzheimer&#8217;s Disease Risk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/cndr\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/603\/2024\/06\/E2-STUDY-FLYER-24-25.pdf\">E2 STUDY FLYER (24-25)<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dear Future Partner in Aging Research,<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We\u2019d like to tell you about an exciting new study taking place here in New Jersey as well as in Atlanta, Georgia.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The purpose of the <span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">E2<\/span><span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">: <\/span>Effects of Estradiol on Cognition, Sleep, and Alzheimer&#8217;s Disease Risk p<span class=\"OYPEnA text-decoration-none text-strikethrough-none\">revention study <\/span>is to better understand how fluctuations in sex hormones (such as estrogen) during middle age influence sleep, memory, and future Alzheimer\u2019s Disease (AD) risks in Black\/African American and White adults (Women &amp; Men).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This may be especially important in people with a family history of Alzheimer\u2019s disease in their parents or grandparents.<\/p>\n<p><strong> We are looking to collect information from participants with diverse backgrounds, which include: <\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Black\/African Americans and White (non-Hispanic) Americans (Women &amp;
