Cognitive Kids
The Cognitive Kids initiative aims to connect cognitive research at Rutgers University with local communities through collaboration and offers first-hand scientific information and educational experiences.
About Us:
Cognitive Kids is an innovative educational outreach initiative spearheaded by the Rutgers Center for Cognitive Science (RuCCS). We are a group of developmental research labs that aim to bridge the gap between advanced scientific research and the local New Jersey community. Through engaging game-like methods, we explore questions that not only advance cognitive theories but also inform educational practices.
Led by Dr. Jenny Jinjing Wang, Director of CALC and an esteemed faculty member of RuCCS, our initiative has established partnerships with institutions like the Liberty Science Center to create accessibility to research. This hub serves as a valuable resource for scientists, students, and the broader community interested in cognitive development research.
Our long-term vision is to expand our network of community partners, including museums, schools, and libraries while diversifying our outreach activities. Cognitive Kids is committed to fostering connections and promoting scientific interest in our community.
