Dear Cricket Enthusiasts of Rutgers University,
I am thrilled to welcome you to the Rutgers Cricket Club, a vibrant community of cricket lovers at Rutgers University. As the President of this club, I am excited to share our journey, our aspirations, and the opportunities that await you within our community.
A Resilient History: Our club has a rich history that embodies resilience and determination. After a brief hiatus, we made a triumphant return, stronger than ever. In the Spring of 2023, we spearheaded the revival of the club. Against all odds, we assembled a team in record time, which remarkably participated in the national tournament.
Our Mission and Vision: Our mission is to provide an exceptional platform for all students. Whether you’re a seasoned cricket player seeking intense competition or a newcomer curious about the sport, we’ve got something for you. We focus not only on honing your cricket skills but also on fostering physical fitness, mental well-being, and social connections. Our vision is to establish Rutgers University as a prominent cricket hub in the United States, where excellence on the field goes hand in hand with personal growth.
Meet Our National Tournament Team: I’m immensely proud of the team we’ve brought together. Under the leadership of Mudassir Lodi and Kunal Krishnan, we defied all expectations. Our newly-formed team, despite the club’s recent and quick revival, managed a commendable 2-2 record at the nationals. This achievement speaks volumes about the dedication of our members and the indomitable spirit of the Rutgers Cricket Club.
