{"id":430,"date":"2020-07-10T14:48:32","date_gmt":"2020-07-10T14:48:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/edna\/?page_id=430"},"modified":"2023-09-27T00:49:57","modified_gmt":"2023-09-27T00:49:57","slug":"forms","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/edna\/forms\/","title":{"rendered":"Sample Processing"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4 style=\"text-align: center\"><b>Once<\/b><b>\u00a0environmental samples are collected, there are a <\/b><b>couple <\/b><b>of<\/b><b> molecular pipelines that can be used to analyze samples.<\/b><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Filter Pulling and Extraction<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">To start any molecular workflow, the eDNA we\u2019ve collected must be extracted from the filter. This process begins with pulling the filter from its housing, placing it into a tube, and using <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">commercial reagents or kits <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">or processes <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">to <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">extract the DNA sample from the filter.
