{"id":480,"date":"2026-07-13T17:13:50","date_gmt":"2026-07-13T17:13:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/experiential-learning\/?page_id=480"},"modified":"2026-07-15T11:30:15","modified_gmt":"2026-07-15T11:30:15","slug":"experiential-learning-fellows","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/experiential-learning\/experiential-learning-fellows\/","title":{"rendered":"Experiential Learning Fellows"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Experiential Learning Fellows (ELF) program aims to build campus culture around career-connected high-impact learning \u2013 a key objective of the <a href=\"https:\/\/newbrunswick.rutgers.edu\/academic-master-plan\">Academic Master Plan<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/discoverynb.rutgers.edu\/\">Discovery Advantage<\/a>. The program helps faculty\u00a0create or enhance experiential learning opportunities for students, and then share insights with colleagues.<\/p>\n<p>With support from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.luminafoundation.org\/our-work\/cchips\/\">Lumina Foundation<\/a>, ELF will feature three semester-long programs focused on various high-impact teaching practices:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Fall 2026 will focus on community-engaged teaching, integrating meaningful community partnerships into learning experiences.\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/experiential-learning\/experiential-learning-fellows\/elf-fall-2026\/\">Click here for details<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Spring 2027 will focus on Course-based Undergraduate Research Experiences (CUREs), engaging students in an authentic scholarly or creative project within a course.<\/li>\n<li>Fall 2027 will be open to all forms of experiential learning.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Each term, a cohort of 8-10 faculty will come together to reflect on their teaching, develop new approaches, and work alongside colleagues who are exploring similar questions in different ways. Tenure-track, tenured, and full-time teaching (NTT) faculty members in Rutgers &#8211; New Brunswick schools are eligible to apply.<\/p>\n<p>ELF complements the <a href=\"https:\/\/careers.rutgers.edu\/campus-partners\/faculty-career-fellows\">Faculty Career Fellows<\/a> program offered by the Office of Career Exploration and Success, as well as the <a href=\"https:\/\/newbrunswick.rutgers.edu\/chancellor\/faculty-affairs\">Provost&#8217;s Teaching Fellows<\/a> program, by providing specific focus on different forms of experiential learning.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>ELF Leadership Team<\/h2>\n<p>Tracie Addy (Institute for Teaching, Innovation, &amp; Inclusive Pedagogy)<\/p>\n<p>Veronica Armour (Innovation, Design &amp; Entrepreneurship Academy)<\/p>\n<p>Wil Jones (Career Exploration and Success)<\/p>\n<p>Chuck Keeton (Office of Experiential Learning)<\/p>\n<p>Brian Kurisky (Collaborative Center for Community Engagement)<\/p>\n<p>Carolyn Moehling (Office of Undergraduate Education)<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Experiential Learning Fellows (ELF) program aims to build campus culture around career-connected high-impact learning \u2013 a key objective of the Academic Master Plan and Discovery Advantage.
