Le mouvement \u00e9tait une manifestation iconoclaste contre les films fran\u00e7ais traditionnels; le mot \u201ciconoclaste\u201d signifie qu\u2019on d\u00e9sire se d\u00e9barrasser des ic\u00f4nes, en particulier religieuses ou politiques. La Nouvelle Vague se focalise sur l&#8217;exp\u00e9rimentation et l\u2019innovation, tandis que les films fran\u00e7ais traditionnels se focalisent sur l\u2019habilet\u00e9 et les anciennes \u0153uvres et certains codes. Les films de La Nouvelle Vague contiennent des th\u00e8mes existentiels, sur l&#8217;absurdit\u00e9 de l&#8217;exp\u00e9rience humaine.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Un collection d\u2019essais qui s&#8217;appelle<\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\"> Cahiers du cin\u00e9ma <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">a beaucoup influenc\u00e9 le mouvement de La Nouvelle Vague. Y contribuent, entre autres, Jean-Luc Godard, Agn\u00e8s Varda, Fran\u00e7ois Truffaut, \u00c9ric Rohmer, Jacques Rivette, et Claude Chabrol. Ils ont tous cr\u00e9\u00e9 des \u0153uvres notables. Cependant, Jean-Luc Godard est sans doute le r\u00e9alisateur le plus influent du mouvement.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">La fa\u00e7on de r\u00e9aliser de Jean-Luc Godard inclut beaucoup des coupes s\u00e8ches (coupes de tournage qui changent d\u2019un extrait \u00e0 une autre), des travellings, et des dialogues improvis\u00e9s. La plupart des films de La Nouvelle Vague ont eu un petit budget, donc les d\u00e9cisions artistiques \u00e9taient aussi pour \u00e9conomiser de l\u2019argent. On dit que le film <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">A Bout de Souffle <\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">de Godard a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 \u00e9tablir le mouvement. Sa premi\u00e8re collaboration avec Godard \u00e9tait pour le film <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Le petit soldat<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">; et \u00e0 la fin du tournage, ils sont devenus un couple. Karina \u00e9tait per\u00e7ue comme une ic\u00f4ne du cin\u00e9ma et de la mode pendant les ann\u00e9es 60. Elle avait les cheveux noirs, un eye-liner lourd, et des v\u00eatements qui ressemblaient \u00e0 un uniforme scolaire. Karina et Godard ont form\u00e9 un couple ador\u00e9 par le public, mais leur relation \u00e9tait tumultueuse. Godard \u00e9tait plus \u00e2g\u00e9 que Karina de dix ans; ils se disputaient <\/span><span style=\"font-size: 1rem\">entre eux\u00a0 sur les plateaux de tournage, Karina tombait souvent malade, et Godard disparaissait sans explication.
