SUMMARY:Dr. Anil Nanda presented Skull Base: Quo Vadis during the 1st Annual International Brain Tumor Symposium
DESCRIPTION:The symposium\, held on Thursday\, September 25\, 2025\, at the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey in New Brunswick\, USA\, marked a landmark event in the field of neuro-oncology. Leaders from around the world gathered to share expertise on the evolving landscape of brain tumor diagnosis\, treatment\, and multidisciplinary management across pediatric and adult populations. \nDr. Nanda’s lecture\, Skull Base: Quo Vadis\, emphasized the progress and future directions of skull base surgery\, highlighting how innovations in surgical technique\, imaging\, and collaborative care models are transforming outcomes for patients with complex brain tumors. \nThe Rutgers Global Neurosurgery Lab contributed three abstracts\, showcasing the lab’s commitment to advancing clinical science and global collaboration in brain tumor research. These contributions reflected the lab’s diverse areas of focus and underscored its growing role in shaping academic discussions at major international forums. \nThe event featured plenary talks\, interactive panels\, and case discussions designed to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and knowledge exchange. Speakers presented cutting-edge research and shared perspectives on challenges and opportunities in neuro-oncology\, with a focus on integrating surgery\, oncology\, radiation therapy\, and emerging technologies into patient-centered care. \nThis hybrid symposium allowed participants to join both in person and virtually\, providing global accessibility. The program highlighted how international collaboration and innovation continue to shape the future of brain tumor care\, while also offering free registration for international attendees to encourage broad participation. \nBy convening experts in pediatric and adult neuro-oncology\, the symposium reinforced Rutgers Cancer Institute’s role as a hub for clinical innovation\, education\, and global collaboration in the fight against brain tumors. \n
