Whether you&#8217;re a student, trainee, or professional from a low- or middle-income country (LMIC) or a high-resource setting looking to contribute to global neurosurgery, we offer a variety of research opportunities to get involved.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"587\" data-end=\"618\">Research Fellowship Program<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"620\" data-end=\"966\">Our <strong data-start=\"624\" data-end=\"667\">Neurosurgery Research Fellowship<\/strong> provides experience in clinical research, health systems analysis, and surgical policy development. Fellows work alongside faculty mentors at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School and with our international partners to develop high-impact projects that inform local and global decision-making.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"985\"><strong data-start=\"968\" data-end=\"985\">Key Features:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1374\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"986\" data-end=\"1040\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"988\" data-end=\"1040\">12-month full-time research positions<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1112\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1043\" data-end=\"1112\">Dedicated mentorship in neurosurgical research and academic writing<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1113\" data-end=\"1222\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1115\" data-end=\"1222\">Opportunities to contribute to systematic reviews, observational studies, and global health policy briefs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1223\" data-end=\"1298\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1225\" data-end=\"1298\">Active participation in international advocacy and academic conference.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"1541\" data-end=\"1578\">Visiting Research Scholar Program (NOT ACTIVE)<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1580\" data-end=\"1760\">Rutgers Global Neurosurgery also hosts <strong data-start=\"1619\" data-end=\"1649\">Visiting Research Scholars<\/strong> from LMICs to collaborate on research projects and develop academic partnerships. This program is designed to:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1980\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1761\" data-end=\"1813\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1763\" data-end=\"1813\">Strengthen global neurosurgery research capacity<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1814\" data-end=\"1903\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1816\" data-end=\"1903\">Facilitate skills transfer in epidemiology, biostatistics, and manuscript preparation<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1904\" data-end=\"1980\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1980\">Support ongoing studies led by Rutgers and its international collaborators<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1982\" data-end=\"2105\">Short-term (3\u20136 month) and long-term (up to 12-month) placements are available, depending on project alignment and funding.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"\" data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2130\">How to Get Involved<\/h3>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"2132\" data-end=\"2426\">We are always looking for enthusiastic individuals committed to improving neurosurgical care access worldwide.
