What is the point of GRIB? 

  • GRIB is an opportunity for students at Rutgers to engage in a low pressure conference environment where they can see and present research, network, and engage with students, faculty, and professionals. This conference is unique in that it is FULLY organized by graduate students.  

Will the conference be virtual?

  • No, the 2024 conference will only be in-person.  We do not plan to make the conference virtual and/or a hybrid event.

Do I have to register for the conference to attend?

  • Yes, a registration link will be available through the home page of the website in the near future. 

Will lunch be served?

  • Yes, we will be serving breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack.

Who can attend the GRIB conference?

  • Anyone! GRIB is a FREE conference that graduate students, undergraduate students, postdocs, and faculty/staff are all welcome to attend.

How can I get involved with the GRIB conference planning committee?

  • Currently, members of the Food Science, Nutritional Sciences, Endocrinology and Animal Biosciences, or Kinesiology and Applied Physiology Graduate Student Organizations (GSOs) are part of the planning committee.  If you as an individual, or as a GSO, would like to be involved in the planning committee next year, please reach out to grib@sebs.rutgers.edu

What is the attire?

  • Business casual attire, please. 

I’m unsure if I will be able to attend the conference before registration closes on April 5th. Will I be able to register the day of the conference
