Welcome! Namaste! Bienvenidos! Huānyíng!

We are thrilled to launch our new official Rutgers Graduate Student Association (GSA) Website.

The GSA is officially recognized by the University as the collective voice of the graduate students. The GSA comprises degree-seeking graduate students across five different campuses at Rutgers University-New Brunswick/Piscataway. The GSA’s mission is to enrich the graduate student experience by providing resources, services, and networking opportunities to students interested in being a part of our greater graduate student community.

This website will serve as the hub for all GSA event and meeting postings, documents, records, contacts, a new news/blog section, and much more.

“To the best of their knowledge, the authors acknowledge that graduate school is difficult. However, we have demonstrated that food and coffee with friends make it a much happier place.” [insert ref here]

GSA Council Meeting: December 2021

December 6 @ 7:00 pm
The format for the final GSA Council meeting of the semester (Dec 6th, 7 PM) will be a little different. We will begin by recognizing the most recent GSA Awards recipients. Following this, we will be doing a GSA Town Hall. As GSO leaders, each of you is uniquely positioned to understand the struggles, triumphs, and issues that affect graduate students. We would like you to think critically about these things and how the GSA can act to improve the graduate student experience and support constituents to the best of our ability. Think about things like access, advocacy, networking, and connections, etc. You might also go back to your own GSO constitutions, think about your missions, how you have been implementing them, and how GSA might be able to help you do this better in the future. All graduate students are welcome to express their concerns at the Town Hall. You do not need to be a GSO leader, or even actively involved in a GSO.  Meeting details are shared on GetINVOLVED.

Graduate Research Symposium - Call For Presenters

December 10 @ 1:00 pm
We are pleased to announce the call for presenters for this semester's Graduate Research Symposium, "Diverse Voices, Diverse Audiences," co-sponsored by GradELL @RELI, which will be held on Dec. 10th. If you or one of your colleagues would be interested in presenting your research (at whatever stage) in a 10-minute, interdisciplinary panel, please consider submitting an abstract by Nov. 15th. The symposium is becoming a time-honored tradition, and has consistently proven to be an excellent networking and professional development opportunity—not to mention a fun way to learn about all the great research that goes on here at Rutgers!
