REPEL Study Webinar Shares Key Progress and Community Insights – Nov. 21, 2025

On November 21, 2025, we hosted a webinar to share the latest updates from the REPEL (Research on the Epidemiology of Prostate Cancer and Environmental Levels) study. The event brought together study participants, our research team, and our Community Advisory Board (CAB) to learn about the study’s progress, early findings, and to address any ongoing questions.

During the session, the research team highlighted continued enrollment growth, noting that 95 participants have been recruited and that 50 of those participants have already completed all study activities. Presenters also described how CAB feedback has informed revisions to study materials, improved communication with participants, and strengthened recruitment and follow-up procedures. A meaningful segment involved Barbara Weiland, a CAB representative, presenting a series of questions submitted by study participants, giving the research team the opportunity to address concerns directly and reinforce the study’s commitment to transparency and participant-centered communication.

This exchange underscored the essential role of community collaboration in shaping the direction and impact of REPEL. The webinar reaffirmed REPEL’s dedication to combining rigorous scientific research with meaningful community engagement to better understand how environmental exposures influence prostate cancer survivorship.
