{"id":629,"date":"2024-04-23T13:53:00","date_gmt":"2024-04-23T13:53:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/hari-iyer\/?p=629"},"modified":"2024-06-05T12:25:52","modified_gmt":"2024-06-05T12:25:52","slug":"10th-annual-new-york-city-epidemiology-forum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/hari-iyer\/10th-annual-new-york-city-epidemiology-forum\/","title":{"rendered":"10th Annual New York City Epidemiology Forum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">On Thursday, April 4th, our lab traveled to NYU Langone Health to participate in the 10th Annual New York City Epidemiology Forum. During this conference, we got to experience numerous knowledgeable speakers on the topic of epidemiology. Dr. Jay Kaufman elaborated on the issues within quantitive research but reminded us\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">to not<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0sweat the small stuff<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">. Dr. Chinazo Cunningham expanded on the addiction crisis within New York City and how the implementation of addiction treatments will ultimately help the health of NYC.\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">During our time at<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0the conference, we had our lab member, Mingchao He, present his poster on unveiling access barriers to PSA testing. During these poster sessions, we\u00a0<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">were able to get<\/span><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">\u00a0an idea of what people were focusing on and how we could ultimately work together to create more research opportunities.
