Huda Ismail is a 2nd year Master’s student in the Forensic Mental Health Counseling (FMHC) M.A. program at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. She completed her Bachelors of Science at the University of Central Florida with the majors of Psychology and Criminal Justice and a certificate in Behavioral Forensics.
She has experience working in social media marketing with NAMI (The National Alliance on Mental Illness), a nationwide, grassroots mental health organization. Huda’s passions involve working with youth and young adults and working towards culturally competent care. Huda currently works in the Center for Career & Professional Development as the lead content creator. Throughout her work in the social media space, Huda raises awareness towards trauma, mental health support, crisis intervention, and varying mental health conditions.
At Rutgers University, Huda is a clinical extern working on the iCareer Study, focusing on conducting individual sessions to gauge for work experience as well as conducting group sessions where she facilitates large groups toward career readiness.
