Targeted Proteomics for Transporters
The UNC-Chapel Hill Quantitative Targeted Proteomics (QTAP) Core specializes in the targeted quantification of peptides, and therefore proteins, in biological matrices using LC-MS/MS. Examples of proteins quantified are UGTs, CYP450s, and transporters. Examples of matrices analyzed include liver microsomes and intestinal microsomes. The analytical techniques employed by the core are nano- or microLC coupled to triple quadrupole mass spectrometry. We operate an M-Class Acquity coupled to a Triple Quadrupole 7500, newly acquired with improved sensitivity compared to our older instrumentation, a NanoAcquity coupled to a QTRAP 5500.
