To maintain the style I will include informal English to compensate for the colloquial Italian and the Pecara dialect, since America does not have vast amounts of dialects like Italy does.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">II.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The early Friday morning, without getting shut-eye the whole night for the nervousness of the new job, he presented himself to the foreman in work attire: long hair down, ribbed velvet pants and a t-shirt: <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Make<\/span><\/i> <i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Marijunana Legal! Put Craxi in Jail! He made a vague gesture to the top of the scaffolding; one of the masons saw him from the roof, and he happily hinting that he wants to give him a hug. \u201cI\u2019ll be there! I\u2019m gonna give you a hand,\u201d he shuttered impatiently. \u201cBuddy, are you joking?\u201d, said the foreman with a feeling of uneasiness in his voice. \u201cWe agreed that you\u2019d be busy with the buckets. It\u2019s no place for you up there. It\u2019s dangerous.\u201d he exclaimed severely. \u201cOversee the cement mixer and give a hand to that crippled guy with the buckets, and that&#8217;s all\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cWhatever you say boss\u201d, said Lu Purk stretching out his arms. \u201cChill out. Imma stay and watch the fucking machine and won\u2019t move even if the sky is falling\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cAbsolutely\u201d exclaimed the foreman. \u201cIf you want to make a penny, and not make me regret giving you a chance, you will give me the peace of mind of obeying orders, are we clear?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">\u201cYea\u201d said Anto` Lu Purk \u201cI don\u2019t wanna give any problems,\u201d he added.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">III.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Some of the slang that I used in the translation to maintain the style like the original was \u201cLessgo\u201d instead of \u201cLet\u2019s go\u201d, \u201cImma\u201d instead of \u201cI will\u201d, and \u201cChill bro\u201d instead of \u201crelax Sir\u201d, which is a very informal and inappropriate way to speak to a boss. The difficult phrase to translate was \u201cssa su per in la`\u201d which means \u201cla, piu o meno\u201d, and made the English \u201ciss there more or less\u201d, which keeps a slight rhyme with \u201ciss\u201d and \u201cless\u201d. Although there is American slang in the character quotes, the narrator is speaking in standard American-English, which matches its Italian counterpart. <\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I.
