Breastfeeding Complications in a Filipino American Patient

Case study on breastfeeding complications in a Filipino American postpartum patient. We not only discuss the treatment and management of breastfeeding complications but also include the influence of Filipino culture on lactation practices and postpartum healing. The patient uses malunggay (moringa) herbal tea as a galactagogue and negotiates with Lola who strongly recommended to stop breastfeeding during a mastitis infection and using “am” instead.
