The bibliography focuses on literature about Jewish farmers in North America, with some references to Jewish farmers in South America and Israel. It includes almost 600 references, most of which are in English.<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2751 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/jewish-agriculture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.56.01-PM-209x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"209\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/jewish-agriculture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.56.01-PM-209x300.png 209w, https:\/\/sites.rutgers.edu\/jewish-agriculture\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/638\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.56.01-PM.png 552w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 209px) 100vw, 209px\" \/><\/h5>\n<h5>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0For those interested in conducting their own research, Scott compiled the bibliography by searching databases and references in major publications on the topic. He periodically searches academic literature and newspaper databases with a broad search (Jewish OR Jews) AND (farmer* OR farming OR agriculture OR agrarian*). Databases searched include Ebsco Academic Search Premier, Proquest Central, Gale Academic OneFile, New York Times Historical, American Jewish Archives, The Center for Jewish History (YIVO, American Jewish Historical Society and other collections), Google Scholar, Google and WorldCat.<\/h5>\n<h5>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0These databases rarely contain references to books and articles. Scott relies on close review of scholarly works. Additionally, he often meets Jewish farmers at agriculture conferences, and adds their farm websites and any publications about them to the bibliography.<\/h5>\n<h5><\/h5>\n<h5><strong>The bibliography can be accessed at the link below, via Zotero:<\/strong><\/h5>\n<h5><a href=\"https:\/\/www.zotero.org\/groups\/2424821\/jewish_farmers_in_america\/library\">https:\/\/www.zotero.org\/groups\/2424821\/jewish_farmers_in_america\/library<\/a><\/h5>\n<h5>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0It should be noted that Scott did not add abstracts in the bibliography. Rather, the abstracts that do appear in the bibliography were written by authors or publishers.
