PLATELETOME LAB

WELCOME TO OUR LAB

Our lab operates under two primary themes:

(1) We take an interdisciplinary approach, integrating patient-derived multi-omic data, systems biology, and mechanistic studies to understand blood cell dysfunction in human diseases. Our focus is on the platelet transcriptome, aiming to identify biomarkers for disease progression and uncover novel therapeutic targets in chronic conditions, particularly myeloproliferative neoplasms. Beyond hemostasis, we explore the broader roles of platelets in cellular and systemic homeostasis, contributing to inflammation, thrombosis, and cancer biology.

(2) We are committed to advancing scalable clinical laboratory assays that are both practical and relevant for diverse populations. This includes improving data integration methods, refining transcriptomic analyses for greater sensitivity and precision, and developing tools that bridge basic research with clinical applications. Our ultimate goal is to deliver actionable insights for diagnostics and targeted therapies that can improve patient outcomes in various clinical settings.
