Congratulations to Megan Gotowski<\/strong><\/a> for joining William & Mary as a visiting assistant teaching professor.<\/p>\n

Meg was here at Rutgers Linguistics from 2017 to 2022 as a PhD student. With a primary focus on language acquisition and computational modelling, Meg will start this autumn teaching corpus methods for acquisition<\/strong> at W&M.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ve asked Meg to tell us a bit about herself. Here below is Meg’s self-introduction and plans at William & Mary in her own words. Please bring as well the good wishes from Rutgers Linguistics with you! \u2764\ufe0f<\/p>\n

\n

I graduated from the department in 2022 and had been at MIT (as a postdoc) and Pomona College (as a visiting assistant professor) before joining William & Mary as visiting faculty. My background is in language acquisition and computational modelling. I am teaching courses on corpus methods for acquisition at W&M, and I am looking forward to offering computational linguistics in the Spring– as well as some additional acquisition courses in the semesters ahead! I also recently received a teaching grant to help with the creation of undergraduate resources for coding and analyzing corpus data, which I hope to use in my classes.<\/p>\n
