On September 19, one of our graduate students, Ziling Zhu<\/a><\/strong>, presented a talk at the main session of Sinn und Bedeutung 29<\/a><\/strong> in Noto, Italy. The title of her talk was \u201cWhy ‘regret’ and ‘realize’ can embed false beliefs<\/strong>\u201d, which is part of her dissertation research, chaired by Prof. Yimei Xiang<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Sinn und Bedeutung<\/b>\u00a029\u00a0<\/strong>took place at Consorzio Universitario Mediterraneo Orientale (C.U.M.O)<\/strong> from September 17-19. The conference is jointly organized by the University of Messina\u00a0<\/strong>and Kore University of Enna<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This year\u2019s SuB conference featured a three-day main session (Sept. 17-19) and two satellite events, a workshop entitled \u201cEvidentials in non-canonical speech acts<\/strong>\u201d (Palazzo Pupillo Syracuse, September 16) and a workshop entitled \u201cDoes semantics have a \u2018too many tools\u2019 problem?<\/strong>\u201d (Noto, September 20).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
