The study focuses on change-of-state roots such as <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">break<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">melt<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, and <\/span><i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">explode<\/span><\/i><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">, showing that English allows these roots to appear in both strong and weak resultatives, while Spanish restricts them to weak resultatives.
