About me
I received my medical degree (MBChB) from Alexandria University, Alexandria, Egypt, in 1983, and my PhD in Biochemistry from the University of Maryland at Baltimore (UMAB), Baltimore, MD, in 1992, with Dr. Terry Rogers. I did my postdoctoral training with Dr. Michael Schneider at Baylor College of Medicine, Houston, TX, where I was appointment Assistant Professor in 1997. I moved to UMDNJ (Rutgers U) as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine, in 2001, where I was promoted to Associate Professor in 2006, then Professor in 2011.
