Mapathon on GIS Day during National Geography Awareness Week, allows volunteers to help create maps of high vulnerability areas where data is scarce, enabling disaster responders and aid organizations to reach those in need.

MAPATHON will be on Wednesday, November 19, 2025  4:00-6:00pm (drop in or leave at any time during the event, but please register to get updates).
Bring a laptop and meet in the Pane Room, main level of Alexander Library.

Directions are available in the main menu at this link.

Light refreshments will be provided.

This year’s mapping project will be:

HOTOSM TASK: #33963

Please help us mapping in the northern parts of Côte d’Ivoire. In these areas Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) has been running projects to assist refugees from Burkina Faso, and to improve care for people living with epilepsy and mental health conditions. Better maps will help the MSF team to reach communities in need of support.
