2025 Update
A Report Prepared for the New Jersey Family Planning League October 2025

New Jersey remains a critical access point for abortion care in a shifting national landscape. This 2025 update documents meaningful changes in service delivery and access since our prior 2023 report and highlights ongoing policy and programmatic needs. Using a publicly available scan of abortion providers, this report reflects real-world access as experienced by patients. CenteringPregnancy Evaluation

CenteringPregnancy is a prenatal care model combining education and individual health assessments in group settings for women at similar stages of pregnancy. The Rutgers School of Public Health design and implement a comprehensive evaluation of CenteringPregnancy in New Jersey funded the Burke Foundation. The evaluation included observations of sessions, focus groups, and surveys with patients, interviews with providers and other healthcare site stakeholders, and an analysis of emergency medical record data for a subset of sites throughout the state. Abortion Needs and Availability in New Jersey A Report Prepared for the New Jersey Family Planning League November 2023
