I am pursuing my BFA in stage management within the theater department. I have worked on countless productions here at MGSA\, including our most recent show Joan of Arc\, as well as on projects such as Performance Ensemble and the Playwrights Festival. Through amazing connections I have made with fellow students and faculty\, I have had the opportunity to stage manage abroad at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival\, as well as work shows and events in NYC. I am looking forward to what this next semester brings\, with my fingers crossed that I will get to see all of you in person!

I’m Ivanna Guerrero and I am a Junior studying for a BFA in digital filmmaking at Mason Gross! I aspire to be a film editor and a director/writer for my own films one day. So far I’ve had a couple Pa-ing gigs\, internships and job positions as a video editor\, cinematographer\, and Sports Camera operator/editor (I also would love to go into the sports industry for some time and the television world). Other than film\, I have a passion for music and am pursuing a music minor! Feel free to talk to me about any of these subjects/ school related questions/ or anything you want 🙂 Some of my favorite films: (Whiplash\, Inception\, Run Lola Run\, Coco).  Some Favorite Music Genres:  ( Jazz\, Indie Alt Rock\, etc.). During the summer I have been practicing piano & flute\, rewatching sports\, binging tv shows\, writing scripts\, and editing!

See\, from her perspective\, what it’s really like to be a student here.\n\n\nMeet Jess!\nMy name is Jess Michal and I am a rising senior BFA dance major! I am from Robbinsville\, New Jersey and started training at my local competitive dance studio since first grade. Now at Mason Gross\, I have performed in works by guest artists such as Stephanie Batten Bland\, Alexandra Beller\, and John Heginbotham\, faculty members such as John Evans\, Jordan Demetrius Lloyd\, and Pam Tanowitz as well as many undergraduate and graduate student pieces. I also choreographed and presented my own work in the student concert this fall. Last summer\, I completed my 200-HR yoga teacher training certification and have been teaching at the Rutgers Rec Center and local YMCA. When I’m not performing\, creating\, or teaching\, my favorite place on College Ave to grab a bite is Tacoria\, my favorite Netflix binge is Rick and Morty\, and my favorite artist to jam out to is Chance the Rapper!

My previous film\, “Baby”\, was an official selection at NFFTY\, Big Muddy Film Festival\, NewFilmmakers NY and BFI Future Film Festival\, where it was nominated for Best International Short Film\, which provided me the opportunity to travel to London for the screening and awards. I am currently in pre-production on my senior thesis\, which will shoot as soon as the gates to the real world re-open.

I am a junior BFA dance major with a minor in art history. I’m from North Jersey but Cook/Douglass is my second home! My name is Michael Lazarow and I am a rising junior\, majoring in Music Education with a concentration in Voice. During my time on campus\, I participate in the Rutgers Kirkpatrick Choir\, Rutgers University Glee Club\, and serve as a Mason Gross Student Ambassador. I am also Musical Director of Rutgers Deep Treble A Cappella and recently served as Secretary of the RU Chapter of the American Choral Directors Association. Outside of school\, I love sitting down at the piano and singing with friends and watching Grey’s Anatomy or Grace and Frankie! During the summer\, I spend most of my time writing arrangements and recording demos for my A Cappella group or going to the Beach!

My previous film\, “Baby”\, was an official selection at NFFTY\, Big Muddy Film Festival\, NewFilmmakers NY and BFI Future Film Festival\, where it was nominated for Best International Short Film\, which provided me the opportunity to travel to London for the screening and awards. I am currently in pre-production on my senior thesis\, which will shoot as soon as the gates to the real world re-open.

See\, from her perspective\, what it’s really like to be a student here.\n\n\nMeet Jess!\nMy name is Jess Michal and I am a rising senior BFA dance major! I am from Robbinsville\, New Jersey and started training at my local competitive dance studio since first grade. Now at Mason Gross\, I have performed in works by guest artists such as Stephanie Batten Bland\, Alexandra Beller\, and John Heginbotham\, faculty members such as John Evans\, Jordan Demetrius Lloyd\, and Pam Tanowitz as well as many undergraduate and graduate student pieces. I also choreographed and presented my own work in the student concert this fall. Last summer\, I completed my 200-HR yoga teacher training certification and have been teaching at the Rutgers Rec Center and local YMCA. When I’m not performing\, creating\, or teaching\, my favorite place on College Ave to grab a bite is Tacoria\, my favorite Netflix binge is Rick and Morty\, and my favorite artist to jam out to is Chance the Rapper!
