Annex Updates

As of 11/18/24

Repairs to Annex 005 are complete, and the space can be reused (Annex 002 will reopen in a couple of weeks). We will therefore begin to hold classes in Annex 005, including some that normally use 002, starting Monday, 11/18 as outlined below.

All other classes using RH201 and 205 remain the same for the time being, and RH101 is no longer in use:

Mondays (in MX005)

• Improv I, Noordzy, 10:20-11:40am (normally MX002)

Tuesdays (in MX005)

• ToP Ensemble, Davis, 12:10-1:30pm (normally MX002)
• Ch Jazz 2, Davis, 2:00-3:20pm (normally MX002)

Wednesdays (in MX005)

• Improv I, Noordzy, 10:20-11:40am (normally MX002)
• Ch Jazz 4, Noordzy, 2:00-3:20pm (normally MX002)

Thursdays (in MX005)

• Jazz Guitar Ens, Stryker, 10:20-11:40am

As of 10/20/24

Due to flooding in the Annex on Thursday 10/17/24, some classes and rehearsals must be moved around until repairs are completed. Contingency spaces include:

• RH101 – This room is directly across from the Ticket Office window in the first-level Rehearsal Hall area and normally used by the dance department. Drums, bass amp, and a keyboard have been placed on carts behind the partitions in that room. Please note that the gear cannot remain permanently set up and must be broken back down after each class/rehearsal and returned onto carts behind the partitions.
• RH201 – Drums and a bass amp are fully set up in this classroom and can remain until we return to the Annex.
• RH205 – The classroom piano lab

Guitarists – Bring Amps

Some Annex room gear had been damaged and a new equipment order is being placed. In the meantime, we do not have spare guitar amps, so guitarists are asked to please bring their own practice amps to these spaces.

Please Keep Rooms Neat

After each use, please fully clean up contingency spaces, including returning all desks, chairs, tables, etc., back to their proper place. We do not want to hear from facilities that we’re leaving a mess in these areas.
